Offering the boardfeel of a vulcanized shoe with the impact protection of a cupsole, this 440 model presents influences from ‘70s style running shoes with contemporary performance features that make it a strong contender as a go-to style for everyday wear, both on and off your board. The low-profile silhouette has been constructed with uppers made from a combination of dual layers of suede in high areas with breathable mesh side panels and around the back of the heel a cut out layer adds further decoration with a reflective underlayer for safe night time sessions. For ventilation subtle perforation can be found on the toe vamp whilst above the lace fastening helps to keep the foot in place when active on top of a lightly padded tongue adorned with signature New Balance Numeric branding. On either side of the heel ‘N’ emblems add further decoration and around the back of the heel ‘New Balance Numeric’ lettering can also be found. A soft fabric lining runs throughout the inside of the shoe alongside a padded insole and a C-CAP heel wedge provides heel support. Providing reliable traction, the rubber outsole features a detailed tread pattern.
